Annual INTAN Conference 2015
This year's Conference is nearly upon us - are you registered yet?
This year's Conference boasts many exciting workshops and learning opportunities for teachers. While the program is still being finalised, feedback from the 2014 Conference has been taken into consideration and the proficiency workshops for teachers at three levels: Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced, have been reinstated. These workshops were greatly missed last year, but have returned in a new and exciting way!! Be there to experience a new way of engaging with native speakers!
The 2015 Program also offers workshops on emerging trends in language teaching, ideas about assessment in the Australian Curriculum: Languages, an introduction to Basa Jawa, practical ideas to link Indonesian with Mathematics and much, much more!!
Our Keynote Speaker for this year is Professor Barbara Hatley from The University of Tasmania. She will be speaking about the links between Indonesian performing arts and identity, a perfect entrée leading into the OzAsia Festival later this year, which has a strong focus on the Indonesian performing arts. Please see her abstract for the discussion attached.
In order to get the most out of the day, we suggest that you bring your own devices (laptops, iPads, tablets etc.) and link in to the WiFi we will have available.
This this year's conference is scheduled for Saturday August 8, 2015 at the Education Development Centre, Milner St Hindmarsh from 8:30am - 3:30pm.
