Gotong Royong Award Nominations
For a number of years now, INTAN has presented an industry-nominated award to a teacher in our ranks, recognising them for their outstanding and generous contributions to the school community in their own context, and more broadly, the wider community of Indonesian teachers in South Australia. This Award is the Gotong Royong Award.
Gotong Royong means ‘working together’. This award recognises the achievements of Indonesian teachers promoting the learning of language and culture in their school, the broader community and their enthusiasm and commitment to sharing their knowledge, skills and understandings with other teachers of Indonesian.
We are currently calling for nominations for a worthy recipient of the Award in 2015. The successful nominee will be officially recognised and presented with the Award on Friday October 30 at the World Teachers Day Cocktail Evening hosted by the Council of Education Associations of South Australia (CEASA) at the Education Development Centre, Milner St, Hindmarsh. They will be presented with the award by the South Australian Minister for Education, The Hon. Susan Close.
Please download and complete the Nomination Form and return completed forms to executive@intan.com.au on or before Friday 21 August.
